Read MorePetra Aaron is an experienced litigator with substantial jury trial experience. Ms. Aaron’s legal career began when she clerked for the Honorable Wanda Keyes Heard and Sylvester B. Cox who were sitting Judges on the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. In these roles, she gained valuable experience in handling both civil and criminal cases. She worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney for almost 13 years in the Office of the State’s Attorney for Maryland, Baltimore City prosecuting some of Baltimore City’s most heinous crimes. Towards the end of her career as a prosecutor, she was assigned to the Special Victims Unit where she prosecuted child abuse cases, elder abuse cases, sex crime cases, and child homicides. Throughout her career as an Assistant State’s Attorney, she prided herself on being a victims’ advocate and serving the citizens of Baltimore City by being a fierce, respected trial attorney with an unflappable demeanor. Before joining the practice of law, Ms. Aaron enjoyed a career as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. She worked in various hospital labs as a generalist with a specialty in Hematology. This technical and data-driven background has proven to be an asset in evaluating her cases.

Ms. Aaron is a proud Senior Trial Attorney at GDH Law. She is also a proud member of The Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ), the largest plaintiff’s bar association in Maryland, and a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the largest plaintiff’s bar association in the United States. She serves the MAJ as a co-chair for the Minority Caucus of the MAJ, as co-chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the MAJ, and as a MAJ Delegate to the Minority Caucus of the AAJ. She is a proud member of the Board of Governors for the Maryland Association for Justice. She is a member of the Legislative Leaders Circle for the Maryland Association for Justice. She is a proud member of the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice, representing the interests of the Minority Caucus of The American Association for Justice.

Ms. Aaron has found many ways to use her experience to mentor and teach. She served as a mock trial team coach for Washington Adventist University for three years. She served as an Auto Negligence Seminar panelist for The Maryland Association for Justice. She moderated a Continuing Legal Education program for The American Association for Justice on “Becoming a Speaker for the AAJ”.

As a former competitive gymnast with the Acro Airs team of Washington Adventist University who still has a strong interest in the sport, she brings that discipline and tenacity to her client representation.   Read Less
