CONFERENCE COUP: BOTH CHIEF JUSTICES OF NL JOIN THE FACULTY OF CCAAJ's SAILING SCHOOL If you read the last CCAAJ Newsflash, you will know that we are planning an excellent conference for June 22nd and 23rd at the Delta St. John's. We know that our NL conferences are difficult for some to attend, so we have worked hard to make the conference worth the trip. We have put together one of the finest programs that has ever been offered by CCAAJ, designed by our Education Committee and our Conference Chair, Ches Crosbie, Q.C. The program is titled: CCAAJ SAILING SCHOOL: NAVIGATING YOUR CASE WITH EXPERTS AND THE COURT. It will make a thorough review of MIST defences, and Probability as it relates to Causation. We are hearing from BOTH Chief Justices of NL on developing issues in Expert Evidence and on Oral and Written Advocacy. We will have a live demo of Examination and Cross of a Defence Expert and we will be discussing the best way to get the best evidence to support your case. We will also host a panel canvassing Valuation and Settlement of Claims, and are taking a look at the long-term effects of injuries as a person ages. This is together with all of the usual short-snapers, case law reviews and a session on law office technology.
